Under the Grand Case Pier

Perhaps nowhere was hit harder by Hurrican Irma in September, 2017 than Grand Case, Saint Martin.  Just a few months earlier, I had the blessed opportunity to visit this most excellent of Carribean beaches.  The little village of Grand Case is the perfect homegenization of French and Carribean.  The locals are friendly, the food is fantastic.  This decrepit little pier juts humbly out into the emerald waters.  I used a sixty second exposure to still the lapping waves beneath the pier and bring to the fore the perfect blue of the sea as illuminated by the early morning sun.
