Peaceful Gaze

"In the steady gaze of the horse shines a silent eloquence that speaks of love and loyalty, strength and courage.  It is the window that reveals to us how willing is his spirit, how generous his heart." - Anonymous.  I grew up around horses.  I learned to ride on a Shetland Pony / Quarterhorse mix named Keko, a pony my mother had purchased for herself when she was only a teenager.  They are also fun to photograph, being so naturally curious.  This horse's name was Fabio, and the inky depths of his eye suggest, to me at least, the wisdom every horse possesses.
