Small Waterfall

This serene waterfall, whose pine surroundings and lush moss covered stones remind me so much of my home state of Oregon, actually resides in Chaska, MN.  For all that the surrounding area is popular with hikers and nature-walkers, I have visited this spot many times and yet never encountered another person here.  Overcast skies and drizzling rain marked the day this shot was taken, but what light there was seemed to cast a spotlight on the small rocks in the foreground which, for me, made this a perfect moment for quiet contemplation and a little meditation on the peace nature has to offer.
